Transforming Infrastructure Data Quality
Peter Batty has been an innovator in the geospatial industry for 35 years. He is currently Chief Research Officer at SSP Innovations, where his focus is on researching new technologies and building out innovative new product offerings, as well as providing guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and input to the overall strategic direction of the company.
He has previously served as Chief Technology Officer at GE Smallworld, Intergraph (now part of Hexagon), and IQGeo. He has created multiple successful enterprise geospatial products including the IQGeo myWorld platform for utilities and communications companies, and the GE PowerOn electric outage management application.
Peter served on the board of OSGeo, the Open Source Geospatial Foundation from 2011 to 2013, and was Chair of the FOSS4G conference in Denver in 2011. He served on the board of GITA, the Geospatial Information and technology Association, for six years. He has a Masters degree in computer science and a BA in Mathematics from Oxford University.
